ISVA qualification

  • Level 3 Award in Advocacy for Working with Survivors of Sexual Violence
  • This course is delivered over six days, across four weeks, every other month on average.
  • For every other course, the first day of the course is delivered in person, in Birmingham city centre.

Sexual violence practitioner qualification

  • Level 3 Award for Professionals Working in the Sexual Violence Sector
  • This qualification can be accessed as a five day course to obtain accreditation, or each course can be booked individually.

Introduction to the Criminal Justice System in relation to Sexual Offences

This comprehensive e-learning course, divided into three mini-courses, offers an in-depth look at how sexual offences are handled in England and Wales. You’ll explore the Sexual Offences Act 2003 and the concept of consent, examine the process from initial reporting through police investigation, and study court proceedings.

By the end, you’ll have a thorough understanding of the entire criminal justice process for sexual offences cases.

The Drama Triangle in the Sexual Violence context

This e-learning course introduces the concept of the Drama Triangle and its application in sexual violence contexts. You’ll learn how to incorporate this model into your professional practice as a Sexual Violence Practitioner and develop strategies to step outside the triangle, enhancing your effectiveness in supporting survivors.

Bystander Intervention in the Community, Night Time Economy or Educational Settings

This e-learning course delves into the complexities of sexual harassment, addressing common myths and stereotypes that perpetuate such behaviour in our communities. You’ll learn about the importance of challenging these misconceptions and develop practical, safe strategies for intervention. The course also covers how to effectively refer or signpost victims to appropriate support services, empowering you to make a difference in your community.
