Climbing for survivors. 40 years of impact.

On 2 May 2026, WMRSASC staff will take on the Welsh Three Peaks Challenge – climbing Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan in under 24 hours.

This challenge marks our 40th anniversary – four decades of supporting survivors of sexual violence, abuse and exploitation across Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Shropshire.

Every step is for survivors.

Why this matters

For over 40 years, WMRSASC has provided free, confidential, trauma-informed support to thousands of adults, children and families.

We are a specialist service – grounded in expertise, shaped by lived realities, and committed not only to supporting survivors, but to preventing harm and strengthening how communities respond to sexual violence.

The need for this work continues to grow.

For many survivors, reaching out takes immense courage. Having the right support – at the right time – can be life-changing.

Your donation helps make that possible.

What your support makes possible

Your support helps ensure survivors have somewhere safe to turn.

It helps keep our counselling rooms open – calm, confidential spaces where adults, children and young people can speak freely and begin to process experiences that may have felt impossible to share.

It supports the highly trained practitioners who sit alongside survivors every day, offering trauma-informed care, patience and understanding. These are skilled professionals, guiding individuals through some of the most difficult moments of their lives.

Your donation also helps fund specialist support for children and young people – ensuring early intervention is available when it matters most.

Early support can make a profound difference. It helps young people process trauma, rebuild confidence, and develop the resilience they need to move forward.

The challenge

The Welsh Three Peaks Challenge is a demanding test of endurance and teamwork.

In under 24 hours, our team will:

· Climb Snowdon, Cadair Idris and Pen y Fan

· Cover over 17 miles

· Take on around 1,500 metres of ascent

It’s tough. Relentless at times.

But it reflects something important.

Every day, survivors show strength, resilience and determination in ways that often go unseen. This challenge is a small reflection of that strength – and a way to stand alongside them.

40 years of impact

This year marks 40 years of WMRSASC.

For four decades, we have worked at the frontline – supporting survivors while also shaping understanding, improving responses, and driving prevention.

We are proud of the trust survivors have placed in us.

And we are focused on the future – ensuring that support remains accessible, specialist, and rooted in compassion and expertise.

With your support, we can continue this work for the next 40 years.

Be part of what comes next.
