Additional Needs ISVA Service

What our Additional Needs ISVA service is?

Do you or someone you know have a health or developmental condition that affects everyday life?

This is known as an additional need.

Additional needs could be physical, learning, behavioural or sensory.

You may feel that it is difficult for you to get the correct support.

You may feel that you have been misunderstood by others.

You may feel that you have been let down by other services.

Our Independent Sexual Violence Advocates (ISVAs) offer dedicated support for all survivors with additional needs.  They can work with both children and adults.

We will meet you somewhere that is easily accessible to you, or we can provide support over the telephone or via video.

Your ISVA will offer non-judgemental support.

Your ISVA will always treat you with respect and dignity.

Your ISVA will work with you to ensure that you are getting the correct support.  This may include offering you easy read information or using communication aids or interpreters.

Your ISVA can talk to the police or other agencies on your behalf to make sure that your voice is being heard.
