Pathfinder Training – Responding to a disclosure of sexual violence.

This full day online course is for practitioners who are working with survivors of sexual violence and sexual harassment in all its forms.

Delivered by experienced Rape Crisis professionals, it will support you in working with clients who have experienced sexual violence, ensuring you can respond to disclosures safely and effectively.

Learning Outcomes include:

1. Understand what is meant by the term ‘disclosure of sexual violence’
2. Explain the appropriate responses to a disclosure of sexual violence
3. Be able to respond appropriately to a disclosure of sexual violence
4. Understand appropriate referral pathways for emotional support following a disclosure of sexual violence
5. Understand the importance of record keeping, information sharing, confidentiality and safeguarding procedures
6. Understand the importance of accessing support for self following a disclosure of sexual violence

The course is experiential, supported by case study materials that will enable you to put into practice the skills and approach we will discuss.
